Peace on Earth
Thought I’d share this beautiful tea towel from Mozi designs in Melbourne. Their stuff is lovely, go and have a look but unfortunately they don’t do mail order. Not sure if I’ll use it, it’s too pretty.

Have started my second River in black KSH. I couldn’t wait until I’d finished it to make the beaded knot, so here she is. Have only done about 30 odd rows, so not much to show yet. Better get back to making Mapman’s hat……supposed to finish it for tomorrow. Hmmm.

My lovely, Christmassy sock exchange socks came today from California! They arrived in one piece, which is wonderful as my Vintage Swap package from Joy is still missing in postland somewhere. :-( But these things happen occasionally, don’t they. Anyhoo, Wendy did a lovely job and I’ve been wearing them all day. The Lorna’s Laces yarn is so soft. She used Shepherd Sport in Manzanite and also included a green Chibi, which I will find very handy. Thanks again, Wendy. x
Clapotis
Knitty.com - Kate Gilbert
Noro Silk Garden 217 - 3 balls
5mm circs
I have to say I didn’t have a single problem with this. It knitted up quickly and didn’t find it boring in the least. I made a skinnier version with 54 stitches and also went a bit longer doing 14 repeats on Section 3.
Here’s a close-up of the dropped stitches. Don’t they look yummy! This is lovely wool to work with, despite all the ‘bits’ that come out of it while your knitting.
OK, now it’s back to socks and maybe some baking……….
Apparently knitting is popular with celebrities? Who cares, not me! If you want to read how many balls of wool John Lewis sold last week then click here.
I’m making some progress on the list but am being distracted with things like Christmas shopping and cleaning/moving things around to find space for the tree! I’d like to make some gingerbread stars, the cutters have been looking at me for a week, but we’ll have to see how we go.
Just a quick update because there are lots of bits and pieces happening here. The weather is revoulting, so it’s a good excuse to stay in and knit and sew. I have too many things on the go and so this is my kick up the bum to get things done for Christmas.
